Overview of Chicken Imports: June 2024

According to the latest import trade statistics for June 2024, total chicken imports (excluding Mechanically Deboned Meat) have risen by 8% year-on-year. This increase is primarily due to a rise in imports of chicken offal’s and chicken carcasses, which have surged by 14% and 77%, respectively. However, imports of bone-in chicken cuts have declined, falling by 18% compared to the previous year.

 

Overview of Chicken Exports: June 2024

Total chicken exports have experienced an overall decrease of 4% year-on-year. This decline is most pronounced in whole birds, which have dropped by 22%. Additionally, exports of chilled offals and chicken cuts have also fallen significantly, with reductions of 23%.
