Our webinar this week was all about fly-farming and the massive difference it could make to one of the thorniest problems for any poultry producer - the cost of feed. We got so enthusiastic about this black gold, that we produced a podcast interview as well as an entire compendium of information about the topic.

The issue of tariff rebates simply does not go away, mainly because it is not in the interests of the commercial poultry sector to let go of any advantage to profitability. Therefore our Poultry Analysis this week takes a look at many facets of our import sector, from the importance of Brazil, to an argument that current consumer patterns show that the import tariff rebate is not affecting local commercial producers, to a look at the US poultry industry and its lessons for us.
