Part of the excitement around the emergence of new independent producers is the potential for export, especially as more African countries join the African Continent Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). The AMIE Academy, funded by the Association of Meat Importers and Exporters, which is mentoring emerging importers/exporters, is yet another example of re-writing the rules of transformation.
